The Mission That’s Bigger Than Me

Gratitude, Goodreads, and the Mission That’s Bigger Than Me

This project — and the mission behind it — has never been about becoming a famous author or making money. From the very beginning, History Waits to Be Heard has been about something far more important to me: principle.

When the book launched on Amazon, it was limited to just that platform. And despite all the effort, only a few copies sold in the first few months. But I didn’t write this book to chase charts or rankings. I wrote it to share a message — to bring visibility to the overlooked, to challenge the narratives we take for granted, and to offer readers a new lens: one rooted in Equality Without Distinction.

I can't afford to run big campaigns or hand out hundreds of free books easily. I'm not financially secure — in fact, I currently have no income coming in at all. So entering the book into a Goodreads Giveaway and giving away 100 copies, even digitally, was a big decision. But I did it anyway.

Why?

Because this mission is bigger than me.

To see nearly a thousand people add the book to their “want to read” shelves — total strangers, all over the world — was more humbling than I can express. It told me that this story resonates. That people want to hear these voices. That what I’ve spent years working on matters to more than just me.

Even if that moment doesn’t result in direct sales, it was enough to reaffirm everything. The book isn’t just about forgotten women — it’s about a forgotten way of thinking. It’s about equity, humanity, and the courage to listen again.

📚 Kindle Promo: A Thank You

To thank everyone who entered the giveaway, I’ve launched a limited-time Kindle Countdown Promotion for US readers. The ebook is just $3.99 right now — not as a flash sale, but as a thank-you. An invitation. A way to let the message travel further.

📷 From One Voice to Many

Along the way, I created two visuals to represent the journey — from a single voice to something larger than myself.

One voice looking to the future

“One voice. One message. A single mission.”

This was where it began — headphones on, message ready, no one yet listening. But I kept going. Quietly. Relentlessly.

A message being shared

“They listened. They heard. Now they carry the message forward.”

This is where we are now. The message is being heard. It’s being shared — not just by me, but by others. And that’s all I ever hoped for.

🔗 More to Come

Over 1,200 people have now watched the ad trailer. Thousands more have seen the book’s name. Whether or not they buy a copy, whether or not they read it today, it tells me one thing:

Equality Without Distinction may be my phrasing — but the idea is bigger than me.

And I’m not going to stop sharing it.
