Building a Movement, One Step at a Time

Sometimes, thinking about where I’ve come from and where I am now feels surreal.

It took about two years to research and write History Waits to Be Heard—and for most of that time, I was also holding down a full-time job. Then I was made redundant. It was a huge change in my life, but I decided to take the opportunity to really achieve something. And in just the past year, I finished the book and published it.

But more than that, I’ve laid the foundations for a platform to spread the message of Equality Without Distinction: a website, YouTube channel, and author profiles across Reedsy, Goodreads, Facebook, and beyond.

And as of today, the book is no longer just on Amazon—it’s now available in bookstores, libraries, and anywhere people buy books.

The trailer ad for the book? I created it myself using Canva AI and DaVinci Resolve, paired with a soundtrack by a fantastic creator. In less than two weeks, that video has received nearly 1,000 views—on a YouTube channel that doesn’t even have subscribers yet.

One of the things I’m proudest of is that, so far, I’ve funded this entire mission myself. But it’s a struggle. That’s why I created this page—to ask for help in continuing to build and share a message that truly matters.

The Next Chapter: A Platform for Progress

Now that the groundwork is complete, I want to focus on building the blog and writing articles for media outlets. I’ve submitted a few opinion pieces—but so far, no response. Still, I’m not discouraged. If anything, I’m more convinced than ever that we need our own platforms to speak.

That’s why I’m exploring a podcast—where I can share new articles, invite discussion, and open the door to wider involvement. Because there are always more stories to tell—stories of people who’ve been left out, overlooked, or dismissed in a world that claims to care about equality.

And this is just the beginning. I’m already planning a follow-up book—this time focused entirely on the philosophy of Equality Without Distinction. It will use historical examples, explore where we are now, and offer a practical vision for how we can all help build a world where people are truly included and valued—not for who they are, but for what they bring to the world.
